Only Papa Roti in Calgary. Kind server, yummy breads and variety of toppings. I tried Lotus One. đ
Just that when we ordered ours, the breads seem not hot/fresh enough to the standards of Papa roti.

I've been a fan of PappaRoti since my time in Dubai, UAE. During my recent trip to Calgary, Alberta, a friend suggested this restaurant to me. I must say, the restaurant boasts cleanliness, friendly staff, and outstanding food! I had the pleasure of trying the Mango Explosion Bun, and it was truly delightful. This spot is definitely a must-visit in Calgary.

Good food.
Tasted their âWorld Famous Coffee Bunâ to see if itâs deserving of such title. WellâŠit is. âșïž
Cozy Atmosphere.
Relaxing ambience conducive for reading and/or meeting up with friends while sipping a good cup of coffee paired with a coffee bun.
A must try when youâre in the downtown area.

I LOVE their coffee buns. I was so happy that they opened here since Iâd always have to go to Vancouver to get one đ„č. The Kaya version comes with Kaya jam which is very popular in Singapore. It has a very distinct flavour which I cannot really describe but itâs delicious and youâll have to go and try it!

About the place: it is a cozy little coffee shop, where you can have tea/coffee with a papparoti/coffee bun, and an adobo sandwich/rice plate if you are hungrier. The ambiance is really nice, modern, bright and peaceful. I love the entrance with the plants, it gives a nice vibe to the place.
The service is nice as well.
About the food: I ordered a pork adobo in a ciabatta bun ($12,90) and a classic dessert ($9,50).
Now, because I am VN and I am used to eat spicy stuffs and dishes with strong taste, I obviously will have a different opinion than other people. So, to me the ciabatta sandwich was ok. The marinated pork has a very mild flavour, and blended with the raw carrots and cabbage and the sauce. Personnally, I would prefer something with more of a kick.
Now for the dessert: it was nice, but having banana with nutella and the bun all together, it felt rather dry. Had to wash it down with my coffee, which was nice by the way. I should have tried the dessert with whipped cream and strawberries to add a bit of freshness to the dessert.
Concerning the bun, it is crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. You can taste a very light hint of coffee and butter, and it is not overly sweet which is nice. It goes well with the nutella. But then again, having fresh fruits will balance the overall dessert for the better.
I will probably come back to try the other dessert with strawberries.
